Living the Lessons
Led by various teachers
(A, YA, S)
This class provides an opportunity for people to participate in a Sunday morning class without making a 3-month commitment. Topics and teaching methods vary, and most sessions are "stand-alone" experiences so that prior attendance is not required to participate. We explore a wide range of topics over the quarter, and meet several gifted teachers and speakers.
This is a great option for parents of children and students who are in Sunday school classes. It is also a friendly setting for visitors and new attendees to connect with others in the HZ community.
Stop in for refreshments, thought-provoking lessons and a chance to renew or build new relationships on Sunday morning.

People Following Jesus Together/Starting Point
Led by Steve and Patty Rugiero
(A, YA,)
What is People Following Jesus Together/Starting Point about? In this class we introduce you to our HZUMC community. Each week you can meet ministry leaders who help you understand the principles of ministry at HZUMC, our vision statement and our commitment to transformation and being purposefully connected. Senior Pastor Jefferis will speak on our doctrine, sacraments, as well as the history and polity of the United Methodist Church. Those who are interested in HZUMC membership may pursue that with Pastor Jefferis after completing this class.
Senior High Sunday Class (Grades 9-12)
Led by Bill Collier
(S)
In this class, students explore what it means to live as a Christian adult in a fallen world. The objective is to give teens a biblical framework as they enter adulthood, in the hopes that they will be prepared for the choices they will face. This course is very interactive, and has a "small group" feel to it, including "munchies".
X-Factor (Middle School students grades 6-8)
Led by Janet Milo
(S)
During this hour students' relationships with each other are built and centered on their common relationships with Christ (Christian Community), youth leaders build relationships with students (Christian Mentors), and students are engaged in biblical teaching that is taught in tandem with the curriculum of the Student Ministry (Christian Discipleship). X-Factor is one of the ways we assist in developing great students who live with Christ as the factor that determines their behavior, dreams, goals and lifestyle.
